Sharks can cause a few worries, I suppose it’s rather unfortunate that we share a playground with one of the oceans greatest predators. Locals and vacation goers in Adelaide experienced the worry first hand yesterday when they were told to get out of the water in fear of a 7 Metre long Great White Shark, 7 Metres! Pace it out and you’ll never want to go for a swim again. A local fisherman had the pleasure of capturing footage of the beast with his underwater GO PRO camera, to his dismay the fish far exceeded the size of his boat. The Seacliff beach was soon evacuated as helicopters shepherded the shark out of the harbor, the issue prompted a well deserved cancellation of the surf life saving carnival which was due to take place that day. The picture doesn’t really do it justice, captured by a rescue helicopter aiding the shepherding efforts.
The Mexican Super Shark
The giant reminds us of the footage captured off the coast of Mexico back in 2013 of the monstrous ‘Deep Blue’ estimated to be around 50 years old. If you’ve not seen it, check it out below.
You might be confused as to why this diver is so fearless, believe us we are too! To high five one of the biggest sharks ever recorded takes some stomach, especially with with the common pre-conception that these beasts are mindless killing machines. Still thinking of going for a week or two by the coast? We think you should, as your chances of having an encounter are next to none. Nonetheless if Sharks are a big worry you could always stay out the water and take in the golden sands of your luxury spot (We find sharks like these areas for some reason). If that’s not enough you’re better opting for a trip inland, we’ve heard Orlando’s nice.
