Disney to Open Shanghai Theme Park

Disney is to invest $5.5 billion on a new theme park in Shanghai. The theme park will have 6 themed lands and the tallest castle standing at 196ft. The ‘Enchanted Storybook Castle,’ as it will be properly known has house a table-service restaurant, Bibbidi Bobbidi boutique, a store and two attractions – the ‘Once Upon A Time’ adventure, following the story of Snow White, and a boat ride, ‘Voyage to the Crystal Grotto.’ The theme park will be the first Disney property to have an area dedicated to the Pirates of Caribbean films. There will also be a live stage show where Captain Jack Sparrow shows off his sword fighting skills.

The theme park is scheduled to open in June 2016 and will have the famous Disney Lion King show in Chinese language. This will be the second Chinese theme park along with Hong Kong which opened in 2005.
It also has parks in Tokyo, the US states of California and Florida and near the French capital Paris – where there was outrage over the prospect of an American cultural invasion when it was first proposed, although Europeans later embraced it.

Disney World in Florida remains the biggest and most popular theme park for Disney which was opened in 1971 and currently has over 52 million visitors each year. The themed areas in Florida are Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the world famous Magic Kingdom. The area also has golf courses, two waterparks and many hotel resorts. The area also has many privately owned vacation villas for rent whilst visiting the theme parks of Orlando.

Shark the size of Jaws causes Australian Beach Clearance

Sharks can cause a few worries, I suppose it’s rather unfortunate that we share a playground with one of the oceans greatest predators. Locals and vacation goers in Adelaide experienced the worry first hand yesterday when they were told to get out of the water in fear of a 7 Metre long Great White Shark, 7 Metres! Pace it out and you’ll never want to go for a swim again. A local fisherman had the pleasure of capturing footage of the beast with his underwater GO PRO camera, to his dismay the fish far exceeded the size of his boat. The Seacliff beach was soon evacuated as helicopters shepherded the shark out of the harbor, the issue prompted a well deserved cancellation of the surf life saving carnival which was due to take place that day. The picture doesn’t really do it justice, captured by a rescue helicopter aiding the shepherding efforts.

Big Shark Adelaide

The Mexican Super Shark

The giant reminds us of the footage captured off the coast of Mexico back in 2013 of the monstrous ‘Deep Blue’ estimated to be around 50 years old. If you’ve not seen it, check it out below.

You might be confused as to why this diver is so fearless, believe us we are too! To high five one of the biggest sharks ever recorded takes some stomach, especially with with the common pre-conception that these beasts are mindless killing machines. Still thinking of going for a week or two by the coast? We think you should, as your chances of having an encounter are next to none. Nonetheless if Sharks are a big worry you could always stay out the water and take in the golden sands of your luxury spot (We find sharks like these areas for some reason). If that’s not enough you’re better opting for a trip inland, we’ve heard Orlando’s nice.
